1ST ASEAN TELCO TO OFFER PAN ASEAN NETWORK

AS A HOTBED OF ECONOMIC GROWTH, THE WORLD IS LOOKING TOWARDS SOUTHEAST ASIA IN ANTICIPATION OF INCREASED CONNECTIVITY DEMAND.

As the world looks towards the Southeast Asia (SEA) region as the hotbed of economic growth, most global carriers have their attention fixed here in anticipation of the connectivity demands that are expected to swell up over the next few years. For one, the connectivity from Southeast Asia all the way to Hong Kong – or the ‘golden route’, has been highly prized; and over the last few years, major global carriers have invested to build their own network of interconnecting SEA country-to-country network linkages.

Set to succeed, Global Transit (GT) has embarked on a private project to connect SEA, a ring network all the way from Malaysia to Hong Kong via both terrestrial and subsea cables – the PAN ASEAN Network is set to be launched to the world by the second quarter of 2015. This would make Global Transit the 1st ASEAN Telco to have the PAN ASEAN Network across 10 countries.

Working together for a Connected ASEAN

Currently, GT is the leading provider of interconnectivity from IndoChina, to the rest of the world. Being located in the heart of SEA, GT offers a SLA of 100% latency on the MPLS network that is hard to be replicated by other carriers. GT works on the ground with the smaller yet crucial local operators, bringing them on board as partners of the PAN ASEAN Network to achieve instant connectivity synergy for this intricate region.

“For our customers, our points of presence (POP)s are ready with customers from IndoChina already connecting all the way back to Malaysia via our IP transit.” Above all, the PAN ASEAN network leverages GTs terres-trial network which is embedded with diversity. ‘We have good partnerships with key regional providers, thus giving us the capability to extend connectivity plus restoration via our terrestrial network.

The GTs advantage

The GT network of connections is designed with mesh network that is scalable, QoS and diverse connections to meet the expected demand for bandwidth in the region.

GTs has a proven record of being a very reliable partner for telcos of the ASEAN community especially in Thailand and Malaysia; and this poises it to be the ultimate one-stop centre for the ASIA market. GTs existing investments and partner-ships in terrestrial and long haul submarine cables such as APG, Unity, Faster and AAE1; act as the existing backbone infrastructure to support its regional niche.

Ultimately, GTs aspires for ‘a single pricing model’ for all carriers tapping into the PAN ASEAN network, by facilities faster and more efficient connectivity at flat prices.

Growth anticipation for this region, is up to 30% year-on-year in terms of bandwidth requirement. Our strategic position is to be the ASEAN Gateway provider that provides ‘the carrier’s carrier’. We want global carriers to leave the intricate job of managing connectivity within ASEAN to us. Trust us to manage the complexity in this region, as we become your partners in bringing the world to Asia, and Asia back to the world,
